 Mindfell News In October
The big event next month is the 40th Kendal Mountain Festival which is online from the 19th - 29th November (early bird tickets currently discounted - see kendalmountainfestival.com). I will be on the Yeti Basecamp stage giving an interactive talk on running adventures and other musings, and alongside my film colleague Jessie Leong, I will be taking part in the Women in Adventure film evening on the 22nd. Our film 'I Am A Fellrunner' has been officially selected as a Kendal finalist. We were also delighted to gain laurels for being a runner up, and an audience choice, in the International Women over Fifty Film festival last month. Jessie and I have started talking about another film and are seeking ideas for funding.
The MA in creative writing has got off to a good start with inspiring fellow students and tutors. I am looking forward to the Borrowdale poetry walk on the 11th November hosted by Nicola Sproson (for more details and booking see https://walx-helvellynullswater.co.uk/activities/ ) We will be visiting the Yews and other gorgeous places along the walk where I will wax lyrical, and I hope this months has inspired you to join us!
Wishing everyone all the best
with love
Jules
